Is it really December already? I mean really? If so, then that must mean it’s time to start my Christmas shopping. For Christmas 2009, that is. I’m always way behind.
In Onederland news I survived the first real test of the season–barely. Although I started the week at 217 and ended at 219, thanks to the Law of Averages, I technically only gained 0.2 pounds for the week. I find this incredibly ironic, given the fact that every single fork I brought to my mouth on Thursday weighed 0.2 pounds.
The graph looks bad–yet it’s exactly what I expected. The five days at or below 217 is what saved me:
Week 15 | |
Starting Weight | 233.0 |
Current Weight | 217.0 |
Change from Last Week | +0.2 |
Lost So Far | 16.0 |
Pounds To Go | 18.0 |
On Monday (the 29th) I at last got back into the swing of things. I had a slight brush with danger in the form of this. They are yummy, I can tell you that. But, I managed to pull it together and came in under 1800 calories for the day. Which is a lot better than the 3,000-or-so per day I’ve been running at lately. All I have to do it stick to it and I’ve got this thing beat. What could be easier?

This year for the first time in a LONG time, I only had pie on Thanksgiving, and that was only a super narrow tasting slice of the two kinds of pie I’d made for the family. (yeah yeah, with a teensy dollop of whipped cream on one…)
When the last pie plate was washed on Sunday, I was a happy happy gal. So one big challenge down, and Merry Chexmas yet to go!

Hey, you’re back!

The only thing I could think of that would be easier would be some sort of magic pill…. but we know that’s not going to happen.
Dark chocolate + Orange = Fabulousness!

Hannah brought home some similar chocolate from Germany – I defintely deemed it insulin worthy!
Hang in there! 😀

Being on the edge of rolling down the hill with my personal boulder, I didn’t click on your “this” link. I have enough temptation in my life already without seeking it out on the web. 🙂
Gotta love the law of averages.

For me this week I didn’t lose an ounce, didn’t gain anything either but still I have 9 lbs to lose before the end of the year and their only 4 weeks left. OUCH!!!
You are doing good Charlie. It’s not easy but you’re hanging in there. Keep it up and that train will take you and the rest of us all the way to where we want to be.
Take care and have a blessed day today.

Mmmm I love the orange + choc combo too! Not seen the Japanese one advertised over here, but I suppose we have an equivalent. But as my weakness is chocs of any kind, I gave them up when we boarded the train 🙁
Not that I’ve lost anymore weight because my weakness now is wine! 🙂
I’m still stuck on 15lbs lost. But I’m not gaining which is marvellous 😀
I know that if we can get through December without a gain, then we will be happy bunnies, but I’m going on holiday for 3 weeks……….hmmm! It can either go one way or another.
Happy December Charlie!! You’re doing GREAT! 😉
