So Far, So Good

Despite what the demotivational poster says, I actually do have some hope today. Now that we’re officially fifty-nine days into The Season (which began on Halloween) plus the fact that there’s only one week remaining, I must say things have gone fairly well. All this in spite of the higher-than-normal caloric intake which began on Treats Day December 19.

In mid to late October, when I figured I was hitting a plateau, I conceded the race to my opponent. I stopped worrying about losing weight and just decided to maintain things at 206 or below until The Season was through. Somehow or another, I have actually met that goal. Things got a bit dicey two days after Treats Day when I hit the 206 mark. I figured I was done for. But again, I miraculously clung to whatever it was that was keeping me afloat and here I am.

Day 154
Starting Weight 224.0
Current Weight 203.5
Change from Last Week -2.5
Lost So Far 20.5
Pounds To Go 4.5

After the big gain last week, I’m at 203.5 today: down 2.5 for the week. And what a week too! Let’s see, there were two work days which involved many Delimex Taquitos. There was Christmas Eve when my mom came in for the week. Christmas Day when I finally received that five million dollar check I’ve always wanted. And the biggest highlight of all: this scene from Horton Hears a Who. Please to enjoy:

At this point, I’m not tracking anything or weighing myself until January 2nd so kudos to you Charlie!

I was a little relieved at the gym this morning to find that the scale wasn’t calibrated, thus no point in weighing myself.
Good job!

Chris: I love that scene. I think we need more That Thing You Do references around here.

How did you know that was my favorite line of the movie?? You’d be amazed at how many applicable uses it has in real life. Try it sometime.

I love “That Thing You Do.” Steve Zahn’s character makes me laugh out loud (LOL if you will) every time I watch it.

Also, I am an easily amused.
