Sandwich Pal

Sooner or later it was bound to happen. Yes, I’m talking about the Sandwich Pal post. Those who already know me, already know Sandwich Pal. So you three can go ahead and find a more interesting site to visit. I recommend this one.

sandwich-palFor those of you still reading, you now need to imagine me doing a radio or TV spot. “Hi, I’m Charlie Hills. I eat a lot of sandwiches. I don’t have a lot of friends. That’s why I use Sandwich Pal.”

So just what the heck is it? Well, is there really anything to know beyond “sandwich” and “pal”? I don’t think so. But for those of you who need something slightly more descriptive, picture this: two slices of bread and some turkey. That’s it. Who’d want to eat that? Not me. That’s why I use Sandwich Pal. A couple squirts and your sandwich instantly goes from zero to hero. I’m telling you, this stuff puts the sand back in sandwich. (Wait a sec, scratch that.)

In the same vein as last week’s mayonnaise post, Sandwich Pal is a dressing. It comes in seven different flavors: yellow, dark yellow, pink, white, yellow, yellow, and Thousand Island. But to be perfectly honest, it only comes in one flavor: white. And by that I mean horseradish. Yes, there’s nothing quite like that so-bad-it’s-good, horsey sauce nose-burn to wake you up over your lunch hour.

So give Sandwich Pal a try. And if you don’t like horseradish, I suppose you could try one of the other six colors.

Recommended uses: turkey and swiss sammies, BLTs, clubs, muffulettas, patty melts, Croque-monsieurs, subs, gyros, cheese steak, paninis, po’ boys, and Döner kebabs.

Not recommended: peanut butter and jelly.

I wonder if I can find that here? I LOVE horseradish anything (except horseradish peanut butter and jelly!)

If not, you can put it in my Christmas box this year!

Hi Charlie –

Your website is awesome! I’ve never heard of Sandwich Pal before, but I will be on the lookout.

Now, regarding your dislike of any squash, except pumpkin pie (hee hee) … give spaghetti squash a try! It’s not mushy like normal squash. Maybe it would be best not to think of it as “pasta”, but just as another vegetable on your plate. I bet you’ll be surprised! Let me know if you decide to take the plunge …

Just found your blog, and I love horseradish so I will be looking for Sandwich Pal in my own supermarket. I am eager to read more of your posts!
