Attempt 105, Week 3

Sorry for missing last week. Mostly because, as I’ve stated before, when a weight loss blogger stops blogging, the universe assumes something horrible has gone wrong. That’s not to say I didn’t have my moments. “Lots going on” usually translates to “don’t care what I’m eating anymore” and I only narrowly fended off a two-pound attack of tofu fried rice. (I spread this “single order” out over three meals.)

Since I missed last week I thought I’d draw a three-week picture just to get back in the right frame of mind here.

Graph: Attempt 105, First Three Weeks

Although I did eat a bit too much the last few days (you can tell: the calorie bars disappear which is never a good sign) overall things are still okay. Predictably there was a slight upward slope in the red line where the blue bars disappear, but today is Monday and nothing’s better for a diet than a Monday, right?

Week Three
Starting Weight 224.0
Current Weight 217.3
Change from Last Week -1.0
Lost So Far 6.7
Pounds To Go 18.3

I’ll probably do another one of my liquid fasts today, which really does seem to snap me back to sanity for upwards of a week. Most people have different definitions of what a “liquid fast” might be. For me, it’s beer for breakfast, beer for lunch, and then a sensible meal for dinner.

Now, that’s my kind of liquid fast! Do you do shots for snacks?

Yeah, but I really got lucky, considering how bad Fri-Sun went. This week will be telling!

You’re working it Charlie and that’s what counts. Keep it up, a pound this week, 2 next week, and another one the following week. I know you can do it. I need to, I’m at 178, getting there but almost 20 lbs to go. Does beat the beginning numbers though so onward and upwards.
Take care and God Bless!!

Bwahahahaha! You so crazy. Glad you’re making progress, even if you did hit a slight bump.

Way to go Charlie! My husband and I conduct weight loss challenges in our area and we see the struggles people have in losing weight. You are on the right track! I have lost and gained myself (due to 3 back to back pregnancies) and it is tough. Hang in there and keep going. Keeping weight off takes a lifelong change in eating habits. I hope with you, as with my participants, that by the time you reach your goal you will be so accustomed to eating differently you won’t even remember the way you used to eat.
