Day 7200

<shortest_post_ever>

Remember this post? Hard to believe that was 200 days ago. Hard to believe I was safely in Onederland at that point. Hard to believe I was actually sticking to a plan for nearly a year. Hard to believe that today I’m twenty-three pounds heavier.

Charlie, I could put on 23 lbs. in a month. Yours is less than 1/10th of a lb. a day. Not so hard to believe…

So, what are you gonna do about it?

Blimey Charlie!

I think you’d better start weight blogging again. You are allowed about 10lbs gain over xmas holidays, but 23? That’s just careless! lol

Come on, lets get those new year resolutions in order,

Tusc 🙂

When my kids were little (a long, long time ago) a pediatrician told me not to freak out when they only wanted to eat apples and squash all day for three days in a row. He told me to step back, look at the larger picture, to ask what they ate in the course of a week or 14 days and see if it didn’t look better from there. And of course, it did.

It would seem if you were in onederland a year ago after following an eating plan that got you there, then, taking that into the bigger picture what you have going here is a slightly larger version of that bad Friday when you slip and eat an entire bag of chips after being good all week.

In other words, this is a spike up, a temporary thing if you want it to be and not the end of the world at all.

So, no worries, no panic, no blog flogging needed. If you want to lose the weight again you know how to. Whether you get started back losing weight today or next week is up to you and not all that big a deal. Unless you think it is.

Do you?

If you’ve been there before, you can get there again.

“If you’ve been there before, you can get there again.”

Ironic how that statement works in both directions.

    🙂

And as for the “what are you going to do about it?” questions, I have two answers.

My Friday answer was, “Probably nothing.” That reply deserves a longer explanation than I’m ready to give here. More on that later.

My Monday answer is, “Fix it.” More on that later too.

Hey Charlie

Hope you dont think I was being rude in my last post. I was just trying to give you a kick up the arse but with utmost empathy. I have read your book and read your blog all the time. I am a life long serial dieter myself and know how easy it is to eat!

Please forgive me if I said the wrong thing. Call it British humour 😉

Kind regards

Tusc 🙂

I can relate. I joined Weight Watchers about 3 1/2 years ago because I needed to lose 10-15 lbs. I did lose that weight and kept it off for quite a while.

I now weigh 15 lbs more than I did when I first started. Life got in the way, too much emotional eating. But, I’m back at it now.

Sorry you’re not having a great time of it right now, and honestly can’t wait to hear what’s in your head. You can call me creepy or just blame my pysch degree on that one. 😉

If you feel like bringing in some Oreos to share, I will help you eat them.
